I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
