The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
